we will be going to beijing this october and planning to take train from beijing to hongkong... is it advisable to purchase train ticket in the internet or just purchase the ticket as soon as we arrive in beijing? we are planning to take the T97 train... another thing if we will be staying in SHI JI HUANG SHAN HOTEL is this near the train station? and you guide us how to get to the train station from this hotel. thank you

The train station is Beijing West Railway Station and a bit far from your hotel. It is about 7km and no direct bus and subway. It means you need to make transfer. So, I suggest you take taxi. There is one train every two days. If you will stay in Beijing for several days first, you can buy the ticket in advance in west railway Station (2F). Or, you'd better book online. It is available to book even two months ago.
