About:Xian Transportation

We are thinking of going from Shanghai to Xi'an. How do you rec recommend we get there and how long does it take? Or do you recommend we travel to Xi'an from Bejing? Is it worth going to Hangzhou instead if we only have time for one of these places.

A little puzzled! What is your itinerary currently? If you are in Shanghai currently, you could go to Hangzhou by train for one-day trip conveniently. However, you could also take the early flight to Xi'an and then head to the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses directly. A late night, you could fly back to Shanghai. Obviously, it will take more money to Xi'an.

If you were in Beijing, please consider taking a night train to visit Xian. The train could arrive in Xian early next morning, and then after one-day's travel to the warriors and horses, you could take a night train back to Beijing.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I arriving in Shanghai for three days 6-24 to 6-27. I was thinking of taking the train to Hangzhou for two days but after investigating Xian thought I should either to skip it completly or just go for one day. From Hangzhou I was planing on flying to Beijing for three nights and then fly to HK for my last two nights. I am in China from the 24th leaving the 5th out of Shanghai. Again thanks for the help.
