Hi, me and my sisters are going to Macau for a vacation on July 15 to 17. We will arrive macau at about 10pm and leave for Hongkong after lunch on July 17. Can you recommend an itinerary for us to maximize our Macau visit. We plan to stay at Metropole hotel because it's near the heritage sights (according to my friends). Thanks!

That means you have 1.5 days only. Yes, the hotel is close to Senado Square. Around this area, you can visit St. Paul's Church, St. Dominic's Church, Fortaleza do Monte and Macau Museum (close on Monday) located next to Fortaleza do Monte. Back to Senado Square and take bus (seems to be 26A at新馬路Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro ) to A-Ma-Temple. Then visit Macau Tower. Then take bus to Venetain. Take bus back to Hotel Lisboa to see casino. Then walk back to your hotel. The next day, get to Rua do Cunha and Venetain in Taipa. Have lunch in Rua do Cunha. Venetain has free shuttle bus to Ferry terminal to Hong Kong.

Hi, Annah! I went to macau last May 27 and left Hongkong on May 29. So basically we have the same time frame. If I may suggest once you arrive and check in your baggage you can already start exploring the sights around your area first and then start the next day early by going to senado square which is very near to your place, ask the receptionist in your hotel what bus number to take on going to senado and don't forget to ask them to give you the name of the hotel written in their language because not all drivers can understand english and it will make your life easier if you'll just show them what hotel you want to go. then it's up to you if you want to go to macau tower or a-ma temple, but I strongly suggest that you visit city of dreams and venetian in cotai because it's really worth visiting. from senado take the bus going to ferry terminal and then ride the FREE SHUTTLE service going to either venetian or city of dreams...if you're going to city of dreams make sure to see "Dragon Treasure" it's free, then across city of dreams go and visit venetian... if you're done and want to go back to your hotel simply take the free shuttle service going to ferry terminal and then just look for the metropole shuttle service. hope this helps!
