About:Beijing Roast Duck

Hi.. I just want to ask if the duck meat used in roasting is only Pekin Duck? Is there any other breed that can be used? Thanks so much..=)

As I know, you could taste roasted duck in every city of China; however, all of them are called Beijing Roast Duck. In terms of the history, the Peking duck is best for roasting due to its special breeding method. On the other hand, Nanjing is famous for Banya (a kind of pickled duck ) and Yanshui Duck. In Shanghai, you could find the Beer Duck and Jiang Duck in Hangzhou.
