What is the best way to go for a day trip to Shenzen from Hyatt Regency Hong Kong at Shatin. Do I need a separate visa to Shenzen?

Yes, you need a seperate visa to enter Shenzhen. Take train at Sha Tian station to Lowu, about 25HKD per person.
