Where do you live in Australia? You can go to the China Embassy/Consulate-General according to consular district to apply for renewal of Chinese passport, therefore, I should know the place where you live. The fee for renewal of passport is 80 AUD if your passport has not expired, if your passport has expired, it costs 150 AUD, it takes 2 weeks.

I think you can read Chinese, please refer to http://sydney.china-consulate.org/chn/lszj/huzhao/t165966.htm (in Chinese version)to get more information.
