About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

How can I get visa to China with Alien Registration Cards valid for less than 6 months?

I am in Korea with my sister in law, she is here without an Alien registration card visiting and we all want to go to China. My wife, children and I all have Alien registration cards that expire October 1st 2010. As of tomorrow we have exactly 4 months left on our visas. Do we still have time to get our tourist visas for China (to go in August), and can my sister in Law get her's here?

I think you can still apply for China Tourist Visa and go to China in August, as far as I know, it is easy for USA citizens to get a China visa in Seoul. The alien registration in Seoul is not important for visa application, you can have a try to apply for China visa for your family and sister in law though of the designated travel agencies.

i am an american citizen working in seoul with an alien card that has four months left on it. three different travel agencies told me i cannot get a chinese visa without at least 6 months on my alien card. when i inquired about how to extend the time on my alien card, immigration told me i didn't have that option until i was down to two months of the expiration date. has anyone tried sending their passport home to america to get a visa from the chinese embassy there, and then traveling to china from seoul? is that possible or must you get the visa in the country from which you are traveling? i pray someone knows something about this. i have already bought my ticket (nonrefundable) and i'm freaking out a little :{

with peace.
