About:Chengde Transportation

Hello,
I'm going to visit Beijing in August 2010. During my stay i would like to go to Chengde for 1 day. I checked train timetable on chinatrainguide.com but the most suitable for me train arrives in chengde at 10:48 a.m. I think it's a bit too late, because temples are open to (about) 5 p.m. That is why I want take a bus. Does anyone know where I can find a beijing-chengde (and chengde-beijing) bus timetable? Are they running frequently and fast?

Thanks for any reply.

The train timetable you searched must be outdated. The earliest train is 4452/4453 which departs from Beijing at 00:25 and arrive in Chengde at 06:31. On the other hand, I think youcould take a train in the afternoon from Beijing to Chengdu and stay over in Chengde. On the next day, you will have enough time to visit temples and return to Beijing.
