About:Beijing Weather

My husband and I are seniors, but we will spend 11 days in Beijing/Xian/Yangzee River Cruise in early July with our two sons, their wives, and our 11 year old twin grandsons. Do most tourists find that the heat and rain seriously interfere with sightseeing. We recently read that Beijing is the 6th most expensive city in the world. We will be on a private tour, but will we face high prices everywhere--the markets, tourist attractions, etc. We are worried.

First of all, these three places will be in hot summer in July, but Beijing and Xian are dry while Yangtze River has rainfall at noon. I don't think goods in Beijing are expensive, unless you purchase these brands and dine at these top restaurants. Just came back from Beijing last month, I only spent about 2500RMB (US$370) for a whole week.
