About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Please could you advise me, I am flying with Air China from London to Shenzen, via Beijing. Will I need to collect my luggage in Beijing or will it be sent through to my final destination, Shenzen?

Yes, you have to collect your luggage and go through customs and immigration at Beijing Airport. This is beacause your next section belongs to domestic airline.
