Please provide the following documents for work visa applicaiton:
(i) Original passport which has more than six months left before it expires from the date of application and at least 2 blank visa pages.

(ii) One completed Visa Application Form (e-Form / Download) with a recently-taken passport photo stuck on it. All the items on the application form should be fully filled in with genuine information; if the applicant has a Chinese name, the Chinese name should be filled in; false or incomplete information and illegible characters may lead to refusal of a visa.

(iii)1. The Employment Permit for Foreigners issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security; and
2. A visa notification issued by an authorized unit in China (original).

It takes about 1 week for the application at the local exit & enter department in China. However, in most situations, alien should apply for China work visa in their own country or outside of Mainland China, if your employer is powerful, he can help you to get a work visa within Mainland China.
