About:Chinese Embassy in Indonesia

My friend want to come to China using tourist visa. He used to study in China. He plans to stay at Beijing for more than a month, maybe a month and a half, until my graduation and we want to go on tour in China. Can he stay at China using tourist visa for more than a month? If not, maybe there's an exception for this, so he can? Thank you.

normally speaking, a tourist visa holder may stay in China for 1 month which counts from the date of his/her entrance into China. To stay longer, your friend need to specify his request in his application form and it'll be subject to the permission of the consul in charge.
