I am planning to move house to Kunming this summer from changchun. Do Chinese airlines allow you to travel with a small dog in the hold baggage? can anyone tell me how to get the necessary papers. Do i need to register my dog with the police before he can travel?
Thanks, any information about dogs in china would be really helpful!

hello,Mr.S
Sorry to tell you that pets including dogs are not allowed in the cabin of the airport. You can have them consigned. Before you consign them, there are also several procedures to finish. You shall get a health certificate for your dog from the quarantine department and then buy a special box for him. Take him to the Freight Station for the insurance and other necessary procedures 3 hours before you get on board.
