hi ,iam going to yichang ,Hubei province ,in july/aug. to marry my partner with whom i have been in contact with for many months , i know i have to apply for visa which i will but i understand i need a single paper to take so i can get married do i need to go to your Embassy to get this paper and what do i need to bring with me .Is there anything else i need to know reguards getting married china after wedding i will apply uk Embassy for my partner to come here .I would be gratfully for any help you can give. thankyou i.stewart

Mr.i .stewart, you just need to preprare 3 documents, then you can make marriage registration in China, 1. your valid original passport 2. Chinese visa3. Certificate of Single Status, first, get it from a local Notary Office, then certificated by Foreign Affaires Ministry of UK or offices authorized by Foreign Affaires Ministry of UK, then go to Chinese embassy or consulate in UK to apply for authentication for your Certificate of Single Status, you can apply for Chinese visa and authentication for your Certificate of Single Status at the same time. Please note that you have to make an appointment with the Chinese embassy in London or Consulate in Manchester if you want to apply for China visa through them, you don't need to make an appointment for the authentication of Certificate of Single Status. The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in London and Manchester has been in operation, you can apply for China visa through them. After you make registration in China, you can  go to Uk embassy in Beijing to apply for authentication of your marriage license, then your wife can easily get Uk visa as your wife.
