About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hi,

My wife and I will be travelling from Mandalay /Myanmar to Veintiane/Lao. We will be transiting through Kouming China. As our flights do not connect we will be required to overnight in Kouming. Can we get a visa at the airport for the overnight stay or shall we be reqired to get the standard single entry visa.

You may not get the on arrival China visa at the airport, you have to apply for a transit visa from the China Embassy in Australia or any China Consulate near your home in advance.

Thanks Aaron. I will do the safe thing and go to the embassy in Canberra. May spend a few days longer in China now!
