is it fine to visit beijing in august?

Is it fine to visit Beijing in August?  Our group don't want to visit Beijing when it is considered peak season.  How many days is needed to be able to see the tourist attraction in Beijing? Thank you.

It is said that the autumn of beijing is very beautiful.it means Sep and oct.In my opinion,about 10 days in beijing is ok.Wish you and your friend a good time here.))
