my wife, soni will be travelling to china via shanghai pudong airport arriving on

Question

My wife, son and i will be travelling to China via Shanghai Pudong Airport arriving on June 05, 2010. However, while we will be arriving on American Airlines he will be on Air Canada.  Our flight arrives at 2:05pm while his at 2:15pm. What is the best way for us to meet up with him, before we get our bags or after claring customs and immigration?

I think its better to meet after customs clearance near the money exchange counter.
