So there's no need to take the Maglav? You can travel into the city directly from the airport?

Do you know how long it takes roughly?

Yes, you could take the metro line 2 to downtown Shanghai directly currently, taking you about 30 minutes to New Pudong Area and another 10 minutes to Peopel's square. However, the last metro will leave from Pudong Airport around 16:00, so please make sure that you could catch it.
