hi , i am traveling to china-beijing-guilin-shanghai on this weekend for 12 days.

Hi ,  I am traveling to china-Beijing-guilin-shanghai on this weekend for 12 days.I would like to visit changbai shan but I am unable to determine whether the roads are open or not as not many tour operators take foreigners there.(or so I am told) Is it possible to go there around april22nd , are the roads and the nature reserve open ?I intend to fly directly from Beijing.And can I visit this place with kids ( 5 and 4 year old) ?I don't intend to do any sort of hiking.thanks a ton in advance ( as I have been trying to get this answer for a while :)

Ms.Bhatia,You may go there at the end of April. But I am afraid that it is not good take two small kids.
