Hi Ryan

Can I get the contact of experienced driver that you mentioned earlier? And would appreciate it if you could share with me more about your stay. Like where to shop, food and hotel. My family and I are thinking of visiting Chengdu and we would like to go on our own instead of with the tour group. Thank you. Rui.

Hi Rui, it is easy to travel around in Chengdu, don't have to join tour group. My last trip I choose to rent a car, I don't like to catch the public transport, wasting time. Luckily I got an experience & professional driver, he did a good job & I got a wonderful tour there. I stayed at Sichuan Hotel, right at Chunxi Road, shopping centre & food stall around, very convenient.

Hi Ryan

Thanks for the infor. What's the traveling time from the airport to Sichuan Hotel. And what are the hotel and the driver charges like? From your experience, would 4 days stay sufficient to cover the sightseeing and shopping? How is the weather between Mar-Apr? Is it a good time to visit? Pls advise. Thank You.

Hi Rui, from airport to Sichuan Hotel take about 30minutes only by car. The hotel cost about RMB250/N and the car rent charge depand on where you travel. Within city about Rmb350/day (car driver) and of course more if travel out of Chengdu. 4Days time quite short time, but if only travel within Chengdu city should be enough.

Few places should not miss surrounding: Giant Panda Research Centre, Jinli Street, KuanZhai Lane, Huanglongxi Old Town, Leshan & Mt.Emei... And for shopping lover should go Chunxi Road & 荷花池 wholesale market.
