About:Chinese Embassy in Zambia

Hi,

I land in Chengdu at around 8:30AM. My primary aim is to visit Emei Shan first - is it possible or even feasible to go direct from the airport to Emei Shan? Or would you suggest I go to the bus station in Chengdu, then make my way to Emei Shan? If I do that, I would have wasted half the day already. Is it ok to begin climbing the mountain so late? Thanks for any replies!

Ms.Smitha,

You may go to Long Distance Bus Station near the airport. It is said that there is direct bus from the airport to Mt. Emei. The bus departs around 2:00 pm and the ticket is around CNY 46. Just go there to see if you can catch that bus. If not, you have to go to Xinnanmen Bus Station to take bus to Mt. Emei. Actually, you save about one hour if you go to Mt. Emei from the airport.

I am afraid that you may not have enough time to climb Mt. Emei. It takes more than 2 hours to Mt.Emei. And if you take the bus from the airport, you will arrive around 17:00. Then you need take sight-seeing bus to Leidongping and walk to cable car terminal to take cable car to Golden Peak. You may not catch the last cable car to Golden Peak.
