My husband and I will soon travel to China, and we will visit two teachers and their students at two separate senior secondary schools, one in Shanghai and one in Beijing. Would it be appropriate for us to give gifts to the teachers and students, and if so, what should we give them?

That's depends on you, needn't expensive, but you can buy some special from your place, they will like it very much.
