Hello Yasir,

I dont see any good news coming for you, i was born in Srinagar when my father was posted in Indian Army, i belong to UP, then i moved out of Srinagar at the age of 1.5 years.

I was denied a Chinese visa earlier this month.

Its unfortunate to see such a decision, moreover Embassy didnt gave any justification for the same.

All the best to you.

Just a thought here... if you are issued a visa for China on a separate piece of paper (not in you passport), perhaps you could just fly to China via Thailand (or any other place). That way you will not need to show the visa when you leave India, yet you should have no trouble entering China.
