About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

Hello,

My husband and I (who are both Australian citizens) are about to start an extended world-wide trip. We will be entering China on an organised tour from Mongolia in June 2010, and leaving from Beijing approximately 1 week later. I believe we need a single entry Chinese visa to cover our stay?

As we will shortly be leaving Australia, we would like to apply for our visa's now. Our question is, will the visa's be valid for three months from the date they are issued, or from the date that we enter China?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Mrs. Fox, the visa will be valid for three months from the date they are issued, you have to enter China before the last date specified on your Chinese visa. Otherwise, the visa expires and you can't use it to enter China. for example, you get a single entry tourist visa, issued on March 15, enter before June 15, Duration of Stay 030 days after each entry, then you have to use the visa to enter China before June 15, and stay in China for 30 days after entry.
