About:Chengdu Shuangliu Airport

I have a 12 hour layover in Chengdu airport from 8pm until 8am. I want to stay overnight in the airport, as I do not have a transit visa, is this a problem? Thanks.

Visa is not required for transfer within 24 hours. However, I'm afraid that you couldn't stay in the airport at night since it will be closed. It is suggested that you book an airport hotel for one night. The hotel staff could pick you up from the restrict area without go through immigration.

I have stayed overnight in the Chengdu Airport in the public area before you go through security. Many people sleep in the airport and the lights are dimmed (September 2013).
