About:Jiuzhaigou National Park

Hi,
I want to try and visit Jiu Zhai Gou in autumn this year.
Which week of autumn would be less crowded - but will still be able to see the changing colours?

Thanks!

Mr.lin,

The best time to visit Jiuzhaigou Valley is from Mid October to Mid November. Just avoid going there during National Day Holiday (October 1 to 7).

The leaves are at their best for about one or two weeks every year. It is most likely to be between the 15th and 31st of October. Weather conditions can have a big affect on that timing though. It will be busy at that time but not as busy as mid-summer or the first week in October.

Thanks so much, Mr Steven and Mr Kai Wen!
I would like to ask 2 more questions...
Read that the October temperature is about 7℃ ~ 18 ℃. My parents are afraid of the cold so we are thinking of going to Jiuzhaigou in the last week of September, if Jiuzhaigou is nice at that time.
Will we be able to see any of the changing autumn colours in late September? Will it be crowded?
Thank you for your help!

The scenery in late September is not as good as Mid October but you might see it. Waiting for Kai Wen to answer your questions.

It is very unlikely that the colours will have changed in late September. Around the 20th of October is usually the best time. The weather shouldn't be too cold in October. The mornings and nights will be cold but it should be fine in the day time. If it is sunny it could be hot even....then at the same time mother nature may decide on snow but I would be very surprised.

Hi Mr Lin,
Since you are also from Singapore. May I know whether you'll be going to JZG on tour or free & easy? Do you engage any travel agent? Thank you
