About:Xianyang Travel

Originating from Hong Kong, we will be visiting Xianyang early May for two days and planning to see Beijing and Shanghai for about five days before heading back to Hong Kong. What kind of itinerary can you recommend with a modest budget to consider? Should we go from Xianyang to Beijing first before Shanghai? What about transport--will train be most economical? Would it be best to go with a guided tour or can we possibly go around on our own, book our own hotel, etc since family from Hong Kong who are coming with us can speak the Chinese language? Thank you for your help.

I suggest you go to Beijing first by train from Xian and then take bullet train to Shanghai. The air ticket shoudl be not very cheap in early May for the May Day holiday, I guess. So, if possible, book your train ticket in advance, either. If you are coming with a HK family, a guide is not that necessary. No doubt it will be easy if book a tour.
