Hello,

Need help. I overstayed my visa for 79 days. I surrendered myself to the police the other day, where I got asked alot of questions and paid my fine of 5000 RMB, felt like a really bad criminal, when I was just stupid and didn t notice that I had to leave the country every 60 days (which I didn't). Anyway, I went to the Pudong Entry and Exit office and they told me they could only give me a visa for 4 days and then I have to leave.

My problem being, is that I have my girlfriend/fiance is Chinese. I don t want to be black listed and never be able to come back to China. What are the chances of me being able to get another visa? Should I push the marriage in between these 4 days and when I go back to France, ask for an L visa?

Mr.RICO4, if you just overstay and didn't do shocking business or smuggle, you are not on the blacklist. Now you surrendered yourself to the police pay for the penalty and you are not necessarily denied a new visa or have further action taken.

dear you don't need to worry about it.i had same problem before.i was detained and paid my fine and send back to my country.i got my new visa again after 2 months.i think you don't need to worry.i guess you can get ya new visa.

i also came to china for my girl friend.
