About:Visa Policy of China

I am in Zimbabwe, I recently applied for an F visa complete with an invitation letter from Frank Dong the president of the Company that I will be dealing with. As far as i was made to believe, cultural exchange programmes, for which im travelling for, fall under business hence application for an F visa. The guys at the consulate did not tell me a thing and to my surprise I got a 60 day L Visa when i had in fact applied for 6 months as stated in my invitation letter.

When I called them they told me that there is a certain letter that is now needed. Why then didnt they tell before i wasted my money and effort?what then do i do? Can anyone help please, can I get into China with an L visa and Change it to an F when I get there?im really confused now I need help from someone who really knows what I can do!!!thank you in advance!

Ms. Musiza, I have much sympathy for you, however, the embassy website states that applicants should check all the information of the issued visa upon collection and if necessary raise queries at the same time. If there is no immediate query relating to the issued visa, the applicant is held responsible under any circumstances thereafter. Now, I suggest that you go to China with L visa, then change it into F visa under the help of the predident of the company.
