About:Leshan Giant Buddha

Is a bus from chengdu the best way to get to leshan buddha or is the ferry a nicer,quicker alternative? does anyone knowcost of bus and cost of ferry? How long does it take? We will have all our luggage as we are going to sray at emeishan hongzhushan hitel .is it better to catch a bus to mt emi first and then go back to see leshan buddha? Does anyone no how far hongzhushan hotel is from leshan buddha? thank you

You can take tour bus at the Xinnanmen bus station in Chengdu and the cost is 34 to 36 CNY (for reference). It takes about two and half an hour to get to Leshan Budda from Chengdu. Hongzhushan hotel is about 38 kilometers from leshan Buddha.

Also you can take the bus to Emeishan at the Xinnanmen bus station. It costs around 50 CNY. After visiting Emeishan, you can take the tour bus at Emei Mountain Travel Center to go to Leshan Buddha. The bus ticket is around 15 CNY and it takes you about 50 minutes to reach Leshan Buddha.
