About:Macau Visa Policy

Hello,
I am Canadian and my wife is Indonesian. We will be moving to Shanghai in February. We want to fly from Jakarta to Macau and then travel by land to Shanghai. Our passports are good for getting into Macau and then we must have entry visas for when we leave Macau and enter Mainland China is that correct?

Yes, both of you and your wife need a Chinese visa to enter Shanghai. Please apply for Chinese visa before departure, then it is also easy for you to enter/exit Macau if you hold a Chinese visa.
