You could take two suite cases, the total weight of which should be in 20kms. No strictly contral on its size. When will you come to China? If you will come to Beijing during the holidays, please purchase the train tickets in advance so that you will not miss the cruise.

Thankyou Mr Jamie for your reply...We are joining the cruise ship Diamond Princess on friday April 30...Is that in any holiday season??...What probably would also help is another 2 couples also going on the cruise ..we could somehow book a 6 seater from Beijing and share the cost....Our email is internode.on.net|beans if you wish to make a contact....having said this I think it would be a good challenge to get from Beijing to the boat terminal by train and local taxi from Tianjin

Well, May 1 is a peak travel day in China, so the train will be crowded with passengers on April 30 in terms of my experience. Well, if possible, please rent a van in advance which could drive you to the port directly. It is easy to search one out online.
