About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I already have my flights booked.
I am staying overnight in Shanghai 36 hours.
Do I need to have a visa?

You don't need a visa for this transit in Shanghai if you hold valid passports, visas for the onward countries, final destination tickets and have booked seats, and stay in Shanghai for less than 48 hours (going out the airport is allowed)
