About:Expo 2010 Shanghai China

I am a Sri Lanka passport holder currently residing in India and would like to visit Shanghai in Jan/Feb from India. I know there is a China Embassy in Delhi but I would like to find out some more information on travelling by myself and not via the package tour. As a local Shanghaines, can you please send me some information about the trip, such as visa application and ticket/hotel/transport/escort arrangements. Many thanks!

Hi. Contact the Chinese Embassy in Delhi for visa details and had the visa ready before you are leaving. Book the round trip air tickets to Shanghai. For tourists, the ideal place to stay is nearby Nanjing Road, People's Square. This is the city center with convenient transport and shopping places to go. It is very good to have an escort, but not essy to find a good one. I have been there because my friend worked in Shanghai. You can look for travel companions too. Collect more infomation about Shanghai before going. It will be a lot of help.
