good afternoon! a friend and i are going to hongkong on february 2010 and we plan to include shenzhen in our itinerary. My question is do we need to have visa to enter shenzhen? if so, where can we get the visa?

Yes, you should apply for a visa to enter into China. There are two methods for you to do it:
1. apply for a visa from China Embassy in Philippines before you fly to Hong Kong.
2. at the Luohu Border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, you could apply for an onsite visa on the spot, which allows you to visit he Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen for 5 days.

You will be required to show valid passport and fill in an application. The fare is about HKD150.
