hi nice to meet u ^^my family and i planning to go to beijing on the 16th of Jan 2010, will it be snow on that month? and how's the temperature will be during that time? is it will be below negative or 10 celcius?would it be okay if we just wear winter jacket come together with top head cover,scarf(is it necessarily?),normal sport shoes and wearing thick socks,glove (is it necessarily?)and would it be enough to keep us warm ?and lastly do we have to bring some lotion to protect our skin from cold wind, need your advise thank you ^_^

Yes, probably snoy on this month. It is about -10 to 2 in Dec and maybe a bit slower than this in Jan, not everyday but at least some days. Winter jacket, scarf thick socks gloves are necessary. Bring sweater too. I think it is enough. It is warm inside the room for the central heating is well in Beijing. Need cream (lotion is not moistening enough) to protect your skin. You must feel dry.
