THANK YOU MS.WONG, FOR YOUR VALUABLE INFORMATION. WE ARE INTERESTED TO STAY AT FRIENDSHIP HOTEL (AT PINGHAI RD., ON WEST LAKE SCENIC SPOT). SO IS IT DIFFICULT TO GO TO Qinghefang historical street, Song dynasty, hangzhou silk city,lingyin temple and Fei lai feng??    AND CAN WE GO TO THE ABOVE PLACE IN 1 DAY.FOR THE  XITANG OLD WATER TOWN.. HOW FAR IS IT AND HOW TO GO TO THERE?  I THINK IT'S A GOOD CHOICE TO EXPLORE THE REAL CHINA.AND CAN YOU SUGGEST US THE BEST WAY TO GO BACK FROM HANGZHOU TO SHANGHAI? BY BUS OR TRAIN?THANK YOU VERY MUCH .

It is easy for you take a city from the West Lake area to the above places. However, you need two days at least to visit these places in downtown Hangzhou. As for Xitang, you could take a bus from Hangzhou East Bus Station to arrive there directly in 1.5~2 hours.Both of train and bus are ok for you to get to Shanghai from Hangzhou. If you travel in peak season, please take a bus since it is much easier for you to purchase a ticket.
