About:China Visa

Hi, my name is Vivi. I have a several question here :
My boss plan to go to China for holiday. My boss is Taiwanese that lived in Jakarta, Indonesia.
How to apply China visa for Taiwanese directly from Jakarta? My boss do not have 台胞證.
How it will cost and how many days it will take to finish the application and get the visa?

Please apply for Travel Permit from Chinese Embassy in Jakarta, submit the following documents;
1. one completed travel permit application form
2. valid Taiwan Identity Card
3. 2 recent 2X2 inches photos
4. valid Indonesian residence permit
IT costs about 30 US dollars, it takes 1 week

Hi Mr. Edward,

I don't have the 台胞證 either. It will be my first time applying for one to go to China. My problem is that I have lost my Taiwan identity card and I'm in the US, I won't be able to go back to Taiwan and come back out due to military duties. I live in North Carolina though I went to school in Indiana. Which embassy should I go to and do you know if I'll still be able to apply for the travel permit with what I have-Taiwanese passport, all valid documents for my student visa in the USA. Please let me know!
