About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

My family and I plan to travel to HK then make a day trip to Shenzhen. Do I need to bring my children to the embassy in KL to apply for the single-entry visa? Or can I apply the visa at the border itself?

You can apply for the single entry tourist visa on the behalf of your children, they don't need to appear in the embassy in person. You can also apply for the visa to Shenzhen at the entry ports.
