Hi there, i read somewhere someone suggest going to the zoo then taking the boat to the Summer Palace, but check to see if the boat will be running when you are there. Is this boat ride open in Dec? what are the charges like? thks

From the zoo to the Summer Palace there is a boat. But not in winter. The charges? around 50 RMB per person. Emm... One suggestion is that to remember summer palace is yiheyuan in Chinese. I met lots of times that the English speaking people don't know the Chinese name and the taxi driver has no idea of summer palace and they just learn the map together for a loooooong time...
