About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

hi, im flying to ireland from sydney with china air. i have a stop over in tae pae for 19 hrs before getttin my connecting flight to frankfurt. the airline expect me to wait around the airport- should they have to put me up in a hotel for the night??

no sorry, as far as i know if you want a hotel room you will have to pay for it yourself, it's why you would probably pay extra for a shorter connection time

I think the airline you are referring to is China Airlines of Taiwan which means your flight from Sydney will be connecting through the city of Taipei in Taiwan. And yes Mr. Paula is right you will have to find your own hotel. But don't worry, Taipei is an amazing city and there are many activities for you to do as a tourist.

Confused by tae pae? Where is it? As I know, the airline companies doesn't supply hotel for transfer passengers. However, you could book a hotel in the airport in advance.
