About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

We will be arriving in Shanghai Pudong (terminal 2) at 6:05pm from Sydney and I need to book a connecting flight to Beijing. Please advise me the convenient time for us to connect to Beijing considering that we are senior citizens. How many hours is required for us to check out our luggage, then check it in for the connecting flight to Beijing?
