About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hello, We are going on a cruise which starts in Singapore December 2, 2009 and ends in Bangkok on January 3, 2010. The only time that we will be in China is for 12 hours in transit through Shanghai. Is a Tourist Visa required even if we do not get off the ship at the docks in Shanghai? Thank you for your help. Don.

I think you don't need a visa for your transit in Shanghai.
