we are planning to go to harbin dec. 29 tp jan 3, could anyone tell me how cold by that time? we're from the philippines, which is better? shanghai to harbin or beijing to harbin?

Beijing is better. It is much closer and bullet trains are available too. Well, it is really cold in Harbin. The temperature is about -20 at night, -10 at daytime. Do keep warm.
