I'll be visiting Chengdu in December with my family.I intend to drive
around the city and nearby towns.Please can anyone tell me the rules
and regulation for a foreign driver? DO I have to inform any ministry
of my intention. Tks

Hi Salleh, I am a German working in China. China government still don't agree with any international driving license. If you want to drive in China, you must obtain the China driving license. By the way, the traffic in China, especially in Beijing, is crazy. Till now, I dare not drive in Beijing.
