In Ap World History, we learned that Qin Shihuangdi was a strict follower of Legalist ideas. This made him very unpopular among his subjects. I found this very interesting.

The law, which the First Qin Emperor were keen on and stick to, is totally form the concept of a civilized law. the First Qin Emperor legilated the laws which only aimed to benefit himeself while a modern law made by a parliament in a civilized country is in every citizen's favour.
