About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

Hi! my husband is working in shanghai. He is wondering why the company he's working with is deducting him a tax of 400rmb every month which start this year. He asked about it and they said to him that it the new rules of China. Any OFW who is legally working in China and has a 5,000rmb up montly salary shall have to pay taxes. Can you give us a details regarding this matter. tnxs and more power.

Everyone working in China have to pay taxes, no matter you are Chinese or foreigners. It's not strange at all.
