About:Beijing Travel

I am leaving for Beijing in a few weeks. I will be staying at the Red Wall Hotel in Beijing Add:
No.31 ShaTan North Street Dongcheng District Beijing City,100009. If by taxi, will I need to negotiate the price?

What is the best and most economical transportation from the airport? Also, where is a good place to shop for good quality silk shirts at a reasonable price?

The Beijing taxi will charge by meter, so no need to negotiate the price. For the most economical transportation, please take the airport shuttle bus Line 2(16RMB/person)to its terminal at Xidan.

Then, walk westward to Xidan Bei Dajie. Walking up along this street to the first bus station called Xidan Shangchang, please take the city-bus No.109 (1RMB) and then get off at Shatan Lukou Xi. Get off the bus, you will find the logo of the Red Wall Hotel immediately to the north of the bus station.

Alternatively, you could hire a cab driving from Xidan to the hotel directly, The fare should be within 20RMB.

Hi Mrs. Joylee, please go to these time-honored silk shops to purchase what you need. The top one should be Ruifuxiang, which you could find both in Qianmen Street and the Wangfujing Street. At these two streets, there are also some other good silk shops. The taxi fare from airport to the hotel should be within RMB 150. You can negotiate with the driver.
The most economical way is to take the Airport Express train to Dongzhimen Station and then take a taxi to your hotel. It cost about ￥20. If you want to buy good quality products, please go to the shopping mall around the Wangfujing Street. Hope it can help you.

Dear Joy,
It is advisable for you not to negotiate the price.It is sensible for you to pay what you should you if you take a cab.according to the meter.Obviously, subway/metro is the best and most economic transportation,but it is more convenient to take a cab to the hotel you've reserved.You can go to Wangfujing to shop good silk shirts.
