About:Shanghai Travel

I will be visiting Shanghai next weekend (3 days 2 nights...arrive around noon and depart in the evening), can you please kindly advise where are the MUST-SEE attractions? Is the shanghai museum worth visiting(and approx. how long does one will spend there)? And what is there to see at the Pudong area other than the world financial bldg., oriental pearl tv tower, etc.)?

THANKS!

Yes, please go to Shanghai Museum if you are interested in knowing Chinese history. Well, I think you could read the introduction about the museum firstly. You could find the article on https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/museum.htm

You could find these must-see in Shanghai at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/ Personally, I prefer the Yuyuan Garden very much especially if you are not going to Suzhou for gardens.

In Pudong Area, you could walk around the Lujiazui Area where the tower is located. Well built~ Maybe you could go to the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium. Nice trip~

I would say the museum is a MUST SEE...should allow 2-3 hours to really do it justice. I would also add Yuyuan gardens to the list, may be a bit crowded but still very interesting. Of course you can't leave Shanghai without spending at least a short time walking along the bund & the french concession district & Nanjing road. In the evening take in the spectacular city views from one of the many 5 star hotels that have incredible high level bars..the city lights are very cool!

thanks for the replies!

I am planning to check out the Pudong area on my last day in Shanghai .... will 1/2 do it? I suppose there isn't too much to see in Pudong ?
Also, is it better to stroll along the bund in the evening as opposed to during the daytime?

Thanks again for the reply in advance!

Spending 1/2 day in Pudong should be enough...I am not aware of alot to do there besides the pearl tower and shopping. I've recently heard that the bund may be under construction...don't know if this will be a problem as far as getting around..otherwise daytime is good but night is better. There are some great restaurants & bars on that over look the river that are worth checking out...a little pricey but very nice. Have fun!
