Hi, I'm a Malaysian and planned to travel to Shanghai on 7 Dec for travelling. My problem is that I will be travelling everyday to Singapore by using my passport, may I know is there anyway I can surrender my original passport for applying visa and meanwhile I can still travel to Singapore everyday? Or is there any other way? One more question, if I use the rush service to apply the visa, it will be one working day, could I say if I apply on early in the morning, then i will able to get my passport on the same day? If so, may i know the rough time of the early in the morning? Appreciate your advise to me, thanks a lot.

Yes, the China embassy in Malaysia do provide same day service. You are possibly to get the visa if you go to submit your application in an early morning before 09:00 am.
